Using Keysoft

Can anyone please give me a hand using Keysoft on my Keynote gold? I mean, I got a whole file management system and wordprocessor right here and can't figure it out. I have a Braillenote but can't figure how to import or export files with this version. I went to the edit and to the translation menu and tried to change the directory it was using, first to the A drive and then to one on the C drive and it kept returning me to the keysoft directory. Of course, I can't use this on any system that doesn't have a Keynote synthesizer, but it might be good for the shortterm. Thanks.

Is this on a Braille Note? If so, I can help you, but the command would probably be different on a qwerty keyboard. If you're using your Braille Note, when it asks for the directory, hit space with t, and that will take you out of the directory and allow you to select a folder.

No, I'm using it on a Keynote Gold 1200XE laptop which is based off the Toshiba 1200T.. But I'll try the command anyway. Couldn't hurt. I have a Braillenote, as I said, but I haven't used it in a few years.

Awe, this is so awesome! I figured it out and it works beautifully. I go into the translate menu, sellect a drive and directory, hit enter on dos to keyword and then follow the usual steps yoused in the Braillenote like telling it where to save and what to call the new file. In order to make the file ready for reading on other pcs, you have to translate from keyword to dos. Granted, it's alot more cumbersome than using a normal wordprocessor document like Wordperfect and using the file but it's still something to use for now. This Keysoft also has utilities similar to the ones on the Braillenote like dictionary and application, though I have no clue what applications they're referring to here. I also notice that when I exit back to dos my speech slows down dramatically and I have to bring it back to normal. Thankfully, I don't think I'll be getting used to this cause I don't have another Keynote synth for when I change laptops.
